Salvaging books and documents damaged by floods

Director National Archives, Dr Saroja Wettasinghe has said that books and documents damaged by the recent floods could be salvaged by cleaning them with water and dried by either using a fan or drier. These instructions come in the wake of many books and documents going under water during the recent floods.

Since the rains have come down again, depending on sunlight alone would be futile, she has said.
