Gajaba Kaluarachchi clenches 'Emerging Civil Engineer Award' - 2016

Dulana Gajaba Kaluarachchi won the 'Emerging Civil Engineer Award' this year at the inter-university awards ceremony which is annually organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Civil Engineering and the Civil Engineering Association of England was held recently.

Dulana is a final year undergraduate of the Sri John Kothalawala Defence University, Sri Lanka.

He is an old boy of Royal College, Colombo and is also a talented artist and sportsman. Kaluarachchi has got school Colours, for Badmintonrs and University colours for his sportsmanship.

Prof. Dayantha Wijesekara, Prof. Sohan Wijesekara, Dr. Kamla Laksiri, Eng. Nihal Fernando, Eng. Dinusha Wijerathna were members of the panel of judges this year.

It is notable that out of the large number of contestants who vied for this title, Dulana Kaluarachchi was selected. Apart from competitors from the Sir John Kothalawala Defence University, many other undergraduates from other Sri Lankan universities and also took part in the competition.
