Early delivery for 2002 Yellow Pages

The 2002 edition of Yellow Pages will reach all telephone subscribers this month, earlier than other years, its publisher Directories Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. (DLPL) has announced.

In its second year as a stand-alone publication and the first since distribution was made independent of the White Pages, the 2002 Yellow Pages is expected to reach a much wider target group this year, the company said.

Delivery of the directory, which is free to all telephone subscribers, began in the third week of December, in keeping with DLPL's promise of "timely distribution and widest reach" to its customer base in Greater Colombo, a spokesman for DLPL said. He said a significant feature of the 2002 Yellow Pages was a tie- up between the company and the Sri Lanka Tourist Board to promote local tourism to boost the national economy. A copy of the new directory was presented to the Minister of Tourism Gamini Lokuge recently. The 2002 Yellow Pages is also available on CD and via the worldwide web.

Directories Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. has published the Yellow Pages since 1983. DLPL was the first winner of the National Quality Award in 1995.
