DE SILVA -   The death is announced of Tony (Anthony Patrick), de Silva (formerly of the CTB, Werehera), beloved husband of Rosabelle, much loved father of Michael and son of late Walter & Laura de Silva of Bois Place, Havelock Town, Colombo 5. The funeral took place at the North East Surrey Crematorium on 19th April 2002.   32, Byne Road, Carshalton, Surrey, UK. 

JAYAWARDENA - MARIE   Relict of Walter Jayawardena Q.C. (former Solictor General of Sri Lanka and former Ambassador of Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union), mother of David (Ireland), daughter of the late Dr & Mrs W.M. Muller, sister of late Gerry, late Frederick, Ladislaus, Dr Hubert (Australia), Joan Pereira, late St Elmo, Ruth, Dr Bede (Australia), late Louis and Daphne Fonseka, passed away peacefully in London on 13th March 2002. Too deeply loved to be forgotten. A Mass of Thanksgiving for her life and work will be offered at St Mary’s Church, Bambalapitiya on Tuesday May 7th at 6.15 p.m. The presence of relatives and friends will be deeply appreciated.   2 B, Independence Avenue, Colombo 7. 

KURUVILLA - THERESE LYNETTE   Dearly beloved wife of the late M.I. Kuruvilla, loving mother of Nimal, Manel and Usha, fond sister of Glenice, sister-in-law of Derek, aunt of Ian, motherin-law of Hameen and Ajit and affectionate grandmother of Ayesha, Sheraz, Mangala, Amila, Amal, Nathalie and Talia, passed away peacefully following a brief illness. Cremation took place on 26th April at the Galkissa Crematorium. A private funeral was held according to her wishes.   52, Muhandiram Lane, Dehiwala. 

PERERA - MARY   Beloved wife of late Peter Pius Perera, loving mother of Rita (Canada), late Joe and of Jerry, mother-in-law of Paskarathas, Laureen and Philo, expired. (George) Tudugalle, daughter-in-law of late Mr and late Mrs C.L.R. Jayamanna, sister-in-law of late C.A.R., late J.S.R., Mrs Girlie Wijetunge and Mrs Dulcie De Silva, expired. Vaithilingam, beloved husband of Manonmany, father of Komathy Mohanraj (U.S.A.) and Srikumaran (U.K.), father-in-law of Mohanraj Maheswaran (U.S.A), grandfather of Shamira, Karishma and Tajh, brother of late Selvaratnam, Ganeshan, late Kumarasamy and Selvaranee, passed away in Sithankerny on 20th April 2002.
