Informatics software solution at Ceylinco Insurance Ceylinco Insurance Co. Ltd. recently signed a contract with the software industry giant Informatics (Pvt.) Ltd. to automate its general insurance system to provide a more efficient and better service to customers. The integrated software system contains several sub-modules, which can provide a complete solution to insurance companies. Some of the significant modules are policy underwriting, receipting, customer care and policy servicing, re-insurance, sales persons management, claims, sales and marketing and valuation. The Ceylinco General head office will be connected to its 60 branches island-wide at the end of the first phase. The branches will be linked via dial-up telecommunication lines. All transactions at the branch level will be visible in the central head office database. The customer care module will assist Ceylinco to provide a better service to customers. It will also provide a facility for customers to view details of their policies via the Ceylinco website. In the second phase of this project, the customer will be given the facility to make the premium payment through the Internet or ATMs and also be able to view their premium details and receive notifications through WAP-enabled telephones. |
