New roof waterproofing product, floor paint Silicone Coatings (Pvt.) Ltd., the manufacturer and marketer of Nippolac Paints, has manufactured a waterproofing product called 'Nippoflex'. It is a cement-based roof waterproofer which provides long-term protection for any type of roof, including asbestos, concrete, tiled, metal or aluminium. "It adheres to the surface through adhesive and flexible properties, providing protection against water leakage. Such a product has been introduced in Sri Lanka for the first time", the company said in a news release. During the early part of the year, Nippolac Paints introduced a floor paint called 'Epoxy Floor Paint' which is turning out to be a much demanded product. Silicone Coatings is a 100 per cent Sri Lankan company with over 22 years of experience in the production of paints. It has competed with multinational and other Asian manufacturers in the paint industry to achieve a considerable market share with consistent sales growth. Raja Hewabowala, Founder and Managing Director of the company has received many national and international awards such as the National Gold 2000, Entrepreneur of the Year Gold Awards - 1995, 1996, 1997 (Southern Province), National Gold award - Large Category - 1999, 2000 and International Gold Standard Award for Industry in 1997 from India International Friendship Society. Silicone Coatings is a member of Paint Research Association, UK. The company honoured its customers recently through a competition named Thegi Nidhanaya. |
