The first dealer awards ceremony of Ceylon Ambuja Cement was held recently. Ten dealers were selected from the island-wide network of 150 dealers for their performance and contribution to the company.

The criteria of selection included the dealers' promptness of payment, the extent of their distribution as well as their sub-dealer network, their loyalty to the brand, and the volume of cement sold in 2001.

The 10 dealers have left on a visit to the Buddhagaya and the Gujarat Ambuja Cement head offices and see for themselves the Indian operation. They will also attend a dealer convention while in India.

The company's best Sales Officer, Mr. Ijaz, responsible for the Ratnapura district, accompanied the dealers to Gujarat for the convention.
