Singer Sri Lanka will sponsor Kandy Sports Club in the current Caltex League 'A' division rugby tournament organised by the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union.

Last year, Kandy Sports Club won a 'double', winning both the League title and the Caltex Clifford Cup knock-out tournament whilst skipping the Presidents Trophy. This is not the first time that Singer will be sponsoring Kandy SC's rugby as they sponsored the club during the tail end of the season and also co-sponsored the Singer Sri Lanka International Rugby Sevens in which sixteen countries participated and has now become an annual event.

Kandy Sports Club has dished out top quality rugby in the past and they have been big crowd pullers over the years. They opened the season with a fine 79-3 win over Galle at Nittawela last week.

The total sponsorship amounts to Rs. 1.5 million and the club is grateful to Singer Chairman Hemaka Amarasuriya, Managing Director Asitha Abeysekera and Merchandising Manager Sanjaya Karunaratne for making this sponsorship possible.
