Robbialac Grand Prix ladies golf tourney on The first Robbialac Grand Prix is played over a period of one year and it started from February 2002. The ladies play 16 medal rounds; every first Wednesday of the month and four extra roudns when months end in 31 days. It is played in conjunction with the LGU medal roudns. According to LGU the ladies play in silver and bronze categories. Every round counts for the Grand Prix. After each round, players receive points which are accumulated until the last round. Medal roudns are most challenging as each shot counts and the ladies make it a point to paly each round otherwise they will miss out on points. Lankem Robbialac has made a Leader Board which displays the ten leaders of the Grand Prix after each round. This board is displayed in the ladies room. The gross and net winners of each round receive a generous voucher from Robbialac to buy paint after each round. Nice Sterling silver markers with the Robbialac Butterfly logo engraved were made as prizes for the LGU medal rounds. Best net winners and runners-up of silver and bronze division receive these beautiful silver markers. At the end of the year, the ladies have a mixed tournament with the men. This is followed by the official prize giving with cocktails and dinner at the club. At this occasion Robbialac will present the Robbialac Challenge Trophy to the overall best net winner of the Grand Prix. Further prizes are given up to the ten placing along with a lot of extra prizes. |
