CIS get a 'double' in Inter-International Schools' netball Colombo International School (CIS) rounded off the Inter-International Schools' under-15 netball tournament in style landing a double, winning both the girls and boys finals worked off at the Sports Ministry grounds yesterday. In the girls final, CIS beat Belvoir International 6-4. The star was Amanda Adams of CIS who was adjudged Netball Queen. The best defending player was Keun Young also of CIS. In the boys event, worked off on a league basis, CIS won a hectic battle over British International School (BIS) from a 10-all tie to emerge 16-13. The Netball King was Giandender Khanna of CIS. In the girls third place match, British International School beat Lyceum International School (LIS) 6-2. The girls Best Defender was Keun Young of CIS, and boys - Adrian Ferdinand also of CIS. The mixed team event was won by Stafford International School who beat CIS 6-4. Third place went to British International School who won 6-2 over Lyceum International School (LIS). |
