Expectation, anticipation, excitement..... In a night that gave the profession a glamorous halo and relegated the nitty-gritties of deadline, red-tape and sore fingers to the back burner, the journalistic fraternity shrugged aside the differences and came together to recognise and reward excellence in various fields of reporting, writing and photography.

And also honour senior journalists for their contribution.
