A stamp and a first day cover has been issued in honour of Aggamaha Panditha Most Ven. Madihe Pannasiha Maha Nayaka Thera, today at 8.30 am to mark Ven.Thera's 90th birthday which fell on June 21. The ceremony will be held at the Siri Vajiragnana Dharmayathanaya with Mass Communication Minister Imtiaz Bakeer Marker as chief guest. There will also be the taking of oaths by pupils of the dhaham pasala. In the evening at 3.00 pm there will be handing over ceremony of keys of the house built at Vijayakatupotha by the Tharuna Seela Samadanaya, Chilaw to the recipient at the premises and 5.00 pm Ven. Maduluwawe Sobhitha Thera will deliver dhammadeshanava wishing the Thera good health and long life.

On June 24 at 10.30 there will be the presentation of books, Cassette containing dhammadeshanava delivered by the Prelate and the monthly magazine issued by the Dharmayathanaya. Publications to be presented include " Madihe Mahanasamidunge Sadhaham Desum - 1; An English Translation of Penasiha Siha Sara by K. Ariyasingha and June issue of Vidusarana and Vidurunena Sadhaham Pilisandara.

After these presentations, Ven. Gangodawila Soma Thera will conduct Bodhi Pooja to invoke blessings on the Prelate, organised by Tharuna Seela Samadanaya.
