Successful solo concerts
by Annesley

Back home with happy memories of two successful concerts in New Zealand is Annesley Malawana. Annesley who had many solo concerts in the States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France reveals that 'this was my first visit to New Zealand which was organised by the New Zealand - Sri Lanka Foundation Incorporated and backing me was Keerthi Pasqual and his group The Ceylonians. I was overwhelmed by the sell out audience at the two concerts which were held in Auckland and Wellington and my program included the super hits of the Moonstones and Super Golden Chimes.

What was a heart warming experience was the audience participation in most of the songs performed by me." The Wellington show was organised by the Sri Lanka Friendship Society under the distinguished patronage of the Honorary Consul for Sri Lanka in New Zealand Rudra de Zoysa and his wife Ramani. Now that he is back, Annesley is busy planning for his next concert which will be held this year in the States, Canada and Australia.
