Indian coastguard probes : Mystery ship in Arabian Sea by Ramani Kangaraarachchi Military Intelligence officials are keenly watching the Indian
Coastguards probe into a mystery ship discovered abandoned in the Arabian
Sea off India's South Western coast. The authorities in both countries are
concerned that the ship, an old medium-sized cargo vessel, may have been
used to off-load a substantial cargo of clandestine weapons and military
equipment either in Sri Lanka or in India. Tyronne to take Indian 'concerns' to Islamabad Foreign Affairs Minister Tyronne Fernando is likely to make his own
contribution towards reducing tensions between India and Pakistan when he
communicates certain Indian concerns during his visit to Islamabad this
week.
