Franklyn and Nishendiran in Asian team to Europe Franklyn Emmanuel of Royal College and Nishendiran Sivendran of St. Thomas' Preparatory School have been picked by the International Tennis Federation to be part of the ITF/ATF 14 and under Asian team to participate in five European tournaments in July/August 2002. This is the first time that any Sri lankan has been selected by the ITF or ATF to be part of its touring team in any age group. Franklyn Emmanuel was a member of the Sri Lankan Davis Cup team this year. Nishendiran was under aged and was not considered for selection as he was not 14 during the tournament. |
