Austasia school of cricket opens on July 20

Austasia Sports & Leisure Club, the latest Sports Complex that opened on June 28 in Thalawatugoda, will launch the most modern indoor and Outdoor "Austasia School of Cricket" on Saturday July 20.

Hence being credited with being the pioneers to introduce Indoor Cricket in Sri Lanka, Austasia S & LC have now focused their eye on outdoor cricket as well. This will be the very first time that a private sector company will promote both versions of the game, indoor and outdoor.

A few internationally qualified coaches and some international level Sri Lankan players will back the "Austasia School of Cricket". Nishantha Henanayake, who is one of a very few to achieve Diploma level 111 in cricket coaching (a diploma conducted in Australia by international experts) will act as head coach. Some of the former national and international level players have joined as coaches and the Austasia School of Cricket will be equipped with the latest resources used internationally.

The "bowling Machine" is one of the highlights of this school and is the only one in Sri Lanka. Apart from the bowling machine, the Austasia school will offer Video Analysing, bowling, batting and fielding practices, performance profile of every individual student, wicket keeping, practice matches, gymnasium, swimming facilities.

As a pre-introduction to the school of cricket, A FREE workshop will be conducted on July 20(Saturday) at the Sports Complex from 9 a.m onwards. Romesh Kaluwitharana will enable some of the experts to dispense with their knowledge.
