UNP Ex-Co galvanize four committees

The National Executive Meeting of the United National Party on Friday evening at the McHeyzer Stadium in close proximity to the 'Yuga Dekma' exhibition grounds in Trincomalee. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, leader of the UNP presided.

Deputy Leader of the UNP and Power and Energy Minister Karu Jayasuriya announced that four committees will be set up to look into matters relating to democracy, peace, economic development youth and women's welfare.

Dr. Rajitha Senaratne and Nalaka Athukorala will lead the Peace Committee.

Imtiasz Bakeer Markar and Asoka Wadigamangawa on the Democracy Committee, Economic Development by W. J. M. Lokubandara and R. D. Abeysinghe. Youth and Women's Welfare will be led byChandrani Bandara and Munirathna Attanayake.
