Crucial talks on security zones today Sub-committees from both Government and the LTTE will meet today to discuss the issue of high security zones in the North and East. The Government delegation headed by Defence Ministry Secretary Austin Fernando will meet the LTTE delegation at Omanthai, the venue is located in a no man's land in Vanni, in the evening today sources said. The LTTE delegation led by Colonel Karuna one who was at the second round of Thai talks will be accompanied by LTTE's fellow Commanders Col. Theepan and Col Banu. The LTTE political representatives will also take part at the discussion. The movement of civilians and the armed personnel and their living conditions in the high security zones will figure at the meeting today. . (AP) |
