Prabath Indrajith of National Savings Bank and Ira Ruwanpathirana of People's Bank won the men's and women's singles titles for the third time of the Nationalised Services Table Tennis Association's Novices/Open and Veterans tournaments (NSTT Tourney) held recently at the Rupavahini Corporation Gymnasium.

Besides winning their singles matches, both Prabath Indrajith and Ira Ruwanpathirana also won a 'double', winning the doubles. In the men's doubles final, Prabath Indrajith partnered by Nimal Perera, both of National Savings Bank beat H. Silva and Saman Piyatilaka of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation in the final, while in the women's doubles final Ira Ruwanpathirana partnered by Anuradha Bopitiya (both of People's Bank) beat Pushpa Colombathanthri and M. I. Tharangani of BCC.

This was a fine tournament for Ira Ruwanpathirana of People's Bank as she annexed her third title in the tournament when she won the Veteran Women's Championship with a victory over Ama Suraweera of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation.

Anuradha Bopitiya who partnered Ira Ruwanpathirana to win the women's doubles, had a 'double', winning the novices women's singles beating Pushpa Colombathanthri of BCC.

Men's singles: Prabath Indrajith (NSB) beat Berty Perera (People's Bank) and P. N. Dissanayake (CPC) beat Nimal Dammika (Ports Authority).

Women's singles (final): Ira Ruwanpathirana (People's Bank) beat Ama Suraweera (SLRC) 3-0. Men's doubles: Champions - Prabath Indrajith and Nimal Perera (National Savings Bank), Runner-up - H. Silva and Saman Piyathilaka (SLRC).

Women's doubles: Champions - Ira Ruwanpathirana/Anuradha Bopitiya (People's Bank), Runner up - Pushpa Colombathanthri/M. I. Tharangani (BCC).

Mixed doubles: Champions - Asitha Amarasinghe/M. I. Tharangani (BCC), Runner-up - Hemasinghe de Silva/Pushpa Colombathanthri (BCC).

Veteran men's champion - H. Silva (SLRC), Runner up - Sarath Wijesooriya (NSB).

Veteran's women's champion - Ira Ruwanpathirana (People's Bank), Runner-up - Ama Suraweera (SLRC).

Novices men's champion - P. N. Dassanayake (Ceylon Petroleum Corp), Runner up - Waruna Gunawardena (NSB).

Novices women's champion - Anuradha Bopitiya (People's Bank), Runners up - Pushpa Colombathanthri (BCC Lanka Ltd).
