The business forum of the Bangladesh India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand Economic Cooperation(BIMST-EC) concluded last week discussed avenues to enhance trade among the member countries and adopted several measures. "The business forum will benefit Sri Lanka in several ways. We have planned a business convention to be held in August 2003 alongside a exhibition which will bring in more than 300 persons as delegates and visitors to the country."

" Sri Lanka has also got the opportunity to launch and host a website for BIMST-EC, do a balance score card for all projects and programs undertaken by the secretariat, and situate the secretariat of the business forum at the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka premises in Colombo."
