Coca-Cola sponsors 'Five-star' cricket tourney

Coca Cola are sponsoring the Sixth, Five-Star City Hotels Cricket Tournament to be held at the BRC grounds from February 25-March 1.

Six teams from the five -star hotels in Colombo are participating.

The venue has been specially chosen for the purpose of highlighting the game in and around Colombo as the venue is one of the most sought-after as far as cricket in Colombo is concerned, because this ground is easily accessible and also is within easy reach for many of the cricketers representing these hotels. The participating teams - In Group 'A': Trans Asia, Hilton and Ceylon Continental.

In Group 'B': Galadari Hotel, Taj Samudra and Oberoi are in contention for the top spot. Two matches will be played per day on the first three days i.e. February 25th, 26th and 27th with February 28th being a rest day.

The Best batsman, Best bowler, Man-of-the-Final and Man-of-the-Tournament will receive special awards. The sponsorship package will include "T" shirts to all the players and officials.

Trans Asia is the official Hotel for the tournament.
