The schools in the districts will meet each other at junior level and thereafter will form a provincial team and a inter provincial tournament will be conducted to harness the talents. The district secretaries received the material from the Director Development Centre Duleep Mendis. The Secretary of the Batticaloa DCA M.Manoharan said that the cricket gear was most welcome and the six schools involved in junior cricket will no doubt benefit from it. The 6 schools are: St. Michael's, Central College, Shivananda National School, Hindu College, Aligar National School and Otamawadi MV. He said that the enthusiasm is pretty high for cricket in his district and he hopes to increase the number of participating schools at junior level from the present 6 to 10 next year. |
