Alias Grace

Sel Lipi by Gotabhaya

Swasthi Shree! Thus says his sacred Majesty, the gracious Great King, glorious Chakravarthi, King of the Kings of Maya, Pihiti and Ruhuna, Mahoora of the Vanniala-aeththo and ruler of all lands from Yapapatuna to Sampanthota:

It has come to the notice of the Maha Vasala that Pandhura, the chakravathi of Amerikaawa, with his dhandumonaras, his yudha rathas and his mighty hordes of sannaha-clad asura-like soldiery conquered the Yonaka Land Between the Rivers. He was initially checked by the Saddam Mujjahideen suicide warriors, but later extended his sway over Bagdadaya, having handsomely paid the senpathi of the armies of Takritiye Saddam defending that city.

It is said that Saddam still resists, with his Mujjahideen appearing and disappearing like the gandharvas of Dhritharashtra. But meanwhile the hordes of Pandhura have captured the magical Yonaka Thel and are occupying the Land Between the Rivers. This is not to the liking of the Yonakas, many of whom believe that Pandhura wishes to impose his own Khraisthava God upon them, in preference to the God of their fathers.

Now, as a means of extending his control of the un-pacified Yonakas, Pandhura has ordered that his official tele-visaya be spread among them, so that they would be riveted in wonder to their bahubootha pettiyas. This is to be produced for the Bahu Bootha Ganaya (or governing board) the angshaya which runs Amerikaawe Katahanda - by a samuhaya known as Karunaawa Aengilimaya Maadhyaya.

The niyamuwa of this samuhaya is a man who was responsible under Pandhura's father - a previous chakravarthi of Amerikaawa - for taking to pieces the nilamakkara angshaya responsible for health and safety in the workplaces of Amerikaawa. Its vessapathinee is a Khraisthava moolyawaadheeyee by the name of Reegan. It says that its task is to publish the evidence of the Khraisthava God's presence in the world today, changing the news to reflect the 'Good News' of the Deviyanwahanseyge Raajadhaaniya, the Kingdom of the Deity. The Karunaawa in its title is said to represent the karunaawa of the moolyawaadhee Khraisthava God.

Pandhura himself is said to be a strong Khraisthava moolyawaadheeya and is a good friend of Puranklin, the son of the notorious Khraisthava moolyawaadhee guru Bili Alu-gammaanaya. This Puranklin has been heard to say that the religion of the Yonakas is very wicked and cruel, and he delivered the bana for Pandhura at the Dhawala Mandhiraya on the Friday commemorating the maraa-ipadheema death and resurrection - of the Khraisthava deity.

These moolyawadhees are said to be strong supporters of the chakravarthi of the Yudhews, the Aariya Sharon and his kalliya, who wish to extend the borders of the realm to the river banks of the two rivers of the Land Between the Rivers.

All this leads the Maha Wasala to believe that the theories of a conspiracy, between the incumbents of the Dhawala Mandhiraya, Pandhura and Dhik Dhangvaley, and the vessapathis of the samuhayas of thel and weaponry, are wrong. While the vessapathis would not look askance at a few more of the kahapanas of the taxpayers of Amerikaawa coming their way, it seems that the captains of the ship of state of Amerikaawa are more concerned with their lives in the next world. It appears that they are driven by a deep spiritual desire to fulfil what they see as divine destiny. The future of the realm of the Yudhews is their over-riding concern.

The Maha Wasala is of opinion that all this bodes no good for the people of the Land Between the Rivers, nor for the soldiers of Amerikaawa resting their weary limbs by the rivers of Babiloniyaawa, that it will cause them to weep.

Swasthi Shree! This rock edict is made on this day of Ravi of the month of Vesak of the Year of the Saka Era 1930.
