'Summer Breeze' to release a new album

Summer Breeze' a brother and sister duo recently returned home after playing a gig in Abu Dhabi. According to Lakshantha Cooray they were featured at the Sri Lankan restaurant Peacock nightly, singing a repertoire of Sinhala, English, Mexican, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Hindi songs.

Lakshantha a member of the SLBC Orchestra is a multi-instrumentalist who plays keyboards, violin, guitar and the bagpipe. He commented that the response to their music was very encouraging. His sister Vimali is a singer with a fifteen year experience behind her and her first performance as a solo singer was in Dubai last year.

Vimali has also acted in tele-dramas and movies before she started on her singing career. Formally trained in singing by her father Vimali hopes to release an album soon, with her brother Lakshantha who has received his Lalit Kala Vedi diploma in music.
