ANCL statement Apology to Ravi Karunanayake, Minister of Commerce & Consumer Affairs The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited hereby tenders an unqualified apology to Hon. Ravi Karunanayake for the pain of mind and loss of reputation caused to him consequent upon the publication of a news item titled "Bribery Complaint against Ravi Karunanayake" in the "Daily News" of 23rd September 2000. The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited hereby states that the allegations attributed expressly or impliedly in the said news item to Hon. Ravi Karunanayake are incorrect and without a basis and, therefore, the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited hereby unconditionally withdraws these allegations.
