New look forklift truck in market

The new look 'Grendia' Mitsubishi forklift truck was launched recently to the international market in Australia.

As the sole franchise holder for Mitsubishi forklift trucks in Sri Lanka, New Ashford International (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of the Nawaloka Group of Companies, has introduced the new model to Sri Lanka.

The first two forklifts were delivered to Asha Agencies (Pvt) Limited and Bogola Graphite Lanka Ltd.

The new model is expected to cater to the increasing demands in the material handling industry.

Mitsubishi was among the first to introduce the fully floating power train and has tuned the system in the new model with low vibration and noise levels. The truck has an electrically-controlled gasoline engine with a three-stage catalyst muffler. Emissions have been reduced by 90 per cent compared to earlier models. The swirl chamber diesel engine has undergone development to limit exhaust emission and to reduce noise levels.

Black smoke density has been reduced by 50 per cent compared to the previous models.

New Ashford International is geared to support after sales with a modern workshop at Peliyagoda. Round-the-clock services are provided. The spare parts division is fully geared to offer customers any spare part at any given time.
