It's a red letter day for 'CF Connection' - Saturday October 25. The programme series on SLBC's Commercial Service will be celebrating its sixth anniversary with a 'Bumper' special of two hours duration from 9 am to 11 am. The brainchild of Sunil Simon, 'CF Connection' made its debut on that memorable Saturday in October 30, 1997, and since then the programme series and the CF Connection team have grown from strength to strength. The series features according to Sunil Simon a different blend of music, lively conversation, short messages on finance and services of the sponsor Central Finance and a group of five to six individuals who contribute to the programme in his or her own way. Quizzes, listener participation and gift voucher prizes made it a first for SLBC. A host of SLBC presenters were involved over the years including Dayan Candappa, Viran Corea, V. Rajendra, Clifford Richards, Manoj Hettiarachchi, Kumar Samuel and the present team includes Gladwin Willie, Manisha Dias Hettiarachchi, Daphne Charles, Dasaman Wijesinghe, Rukshan Kuru-Utumpala, Dulmin Samarasinghe and Ferni Roshini. So remember be a part of it all on Saturday October 25 with CF Connection. |
