Fun and frolic at TMC United Motor Rally

The last Sunday in September was indeed an enjoyable day for all those who participated in the Motor Rally that The Management Club (TMC) organised for their members and families in association with United Motors.

The TMC United Fun Rally as it was called took off near the United Motor Showroom at the Liptons circle, after the first car was flagged off by United Motors CEO Anil Wijesinghe followed by Fayaz Saleem, President of TMC and Athula Jayasekera (Chairman TMC Galle Face) and Nilhan Mendis (Chairman TMC Mt. Lavinia) who flagged off the next batch of participants.

About 100 participants made this a very colourful event which culminated at the Golden Sun Resort Hotel, Kalutara and none of the rally drivers could hardly guess where they were heading towards till they arrived at the final destination, for most part of the journey they had to drive back and forth while looking for answers to some mystery questions.

Having reached Golden Sun Resort they had the privilege of taking part in a variety of games in addition to witnessing an attractive fashion parade by the poolside. Browns Electronics of Sharp fame and Three Coins Beer and Orient Financial Services Corporation also joined hands with TMC in the Rally.

The winner Chanaka Karunaratne a member from Mt. Lavinia TMC received a handsome trophy while Naozab Fareed of TMC Galle Face carried away the runner-up trophy.

Following the huge success of its first ever rally and the encouraging response from their members TMC plans to make this an annual event.
