Ceylinco Celestial Residencies - Lanka's tallest building Dr. Lalith Kottelawala cut the first sod, to commence construction on what is to be Sri Lanka's tallest building recently. The occasion was graced by Arjuna Mahendran, Chairman of the BOI, Prof. Luxman Alwis of Design Consortium, Mrs. Padmini Karunanayake, Vice Chairperson of the Finance Co. Ltd, and a distinguished gathering of invitees. In the early years of the new millennium, Sri Lanka's skyline is set to change with the construction of the project Ceylinco Celestial Residencies. The country's visionary Dr. Lalith Kotelawela's dream of building Sri Lanka's tallest structure was an inspiration he drew from his father, when he built Sri Lanka's tallest building at the time - Ceylinco House. Since then, Ceylinco Consolidated has spearheaded the construction of ambitious projects in the country through its subsidiary company Ceylinco Homes International (Lotus Tower) Ltd. Today, Ceylinco Homes International (Lotus Tower) Ltd embarks on constructing Ceylinco Celestial Residencies, a project valued at over Rs. 6 billion. Ceylinco Celestial Residencies will be the pride of the nation as it will be the tallest building in the counry. With 40 studio apartments, 166 three bed roomed apartments and a 100 roomed luxury hotel, Ceylinco Celestial Residencies will be a city within a city as it caters to every need of its discerning clientele. This is a project set to be completed in 2006. |
