The 7th international hair and make up competition Hair Asia Pacific 2003 owned and organised by the Sri Lanka Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians (SLAHAB) was held recently at the Raffles Convention Centre, Singapore. Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia and Sri Lanka participated.

The competitors, most of them national champions in their respective countries, vied for awards in eight categories.

Sri Lankan competitors won the 1st runner-up place in 3 categories.

The Most Outstanding Sri Lankan Performer's Trophy was won by Gayathri Dias. The Grand Championship Award was won by Thailand.
