Prabha to reveal stance in 'Martyrs Day' address

LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran will deliver his annual 'Martyrs Week' address highlighting his stance on the current political situation on Thursday, Nov. 27.

The LTTE's 'Voice of Tigers' has made arrangements to broadcast the speech.

This year's address by Prabhakaran will be the second since the peace process started last year. Issues such as the LTTE's North-East Interim Administration proposals, crisis situation in the South and the future plans on the peace process will be focussed in detail, LTTE media spokesperson Daya Master said.

Meanwhile, the 'Martyrs Week' which began on last Thursday is being commemorated on an elaborate manner in the LTTE-controlled areas in the North and the East.

According to a press release from Kilinochchi, it was from 1982 to December 2002, a total of 17,695 LTTE cadres have attained Martyrdom in the past two decades.
