Pakistan Airlines back in Colombo

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has re commenced operations to Sri Lanka from this month. The airline will operate two weekly frequencies to Colombo every Tuesday and Thursday with convenient connections to over 40 domestic destinations in Pakistan and international destinations in the Middle East, Europe, USA, Canada, China and Japan.

PIA commenced Sri Lankan operations in 1965 and temporarily suspended operations two years ago.

The airline intends increasing tourist traffic from Pakistan considering the peaceful environment in Sri Lanka.It also plans to operate to Singapore via Colombo in the near future.PIA's Country Manager, Sri Lanka and Maldives, Obaid Rehman, CEO, Winston Vethakan and Nilmin Nanayakkara, Managing Director of Ncar Sky Clan Pvt. Ltd, the General Sales Agent for PIA in Sri Lanka were at the Bandaranaike International Airport to welcome the flight.
