Continuous Medical Education

The annual Continuous Medical Education Programme of the Independent Medical Practitioners Association (IMPA) was held in Colombo recently. It was sponsored by the Healthcare Division of Mackwoods Ltd. in collaboration with Atco Laboratories, Pakistan and was attended by over 200 doctors.

The guest speaker on the occasion, Prof Mohammed Ishaque, Professor of Cardiology, National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease, Karachchi, Pakistan, made a presentation on the importance of Aspirin in preventing cardiovascular disease.

Dr Sunil Perera, Consultant Neuro Surgeon made a presentation on 'Neurological Services of Sri Lanka, Present and Future'.
