Down Memory Lane 2003

To the strains of the time honoured 'Swanee River', the sing-a-long commenced - a presentation by the Moratuwa Arts Forum, which saw patronage by a large sector of music lovers.

In fact this annual event has become a landmark in Moratuwa. According to the organisers, the unprecedent turn out was a big boost and the audience young and old sang the golden oldies with a great deal of enthusiasm. 'The Ash grove', 'Clementine', 'I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles'. 'Mocking Bird Hill' and many more were the selections that were sung, with the MAF singers leading the vocals while the 'Vintage Orchestra' provided the musical backing. 'Down Memory Lane 2003' was held at the Hotel Ranmal, Moratuwa on Sunday November 30 emceed by Arun Dias Bandaranaike.

This seventh successful annual event was sponsored by the National Lotteries Board and the Chairman Deepal Gooneratne and Mrs. Gooneratne were the chief guests.
