e-WIS the No. 1 - IBM business partner in Sri Lanka

E-W Information Systems Limited (e-WIS) swept away 16 of the 29 awards at the recent annual IBM Business Partner awards ceremony 2004. The company also won the most prestigious award of the event; the "Top Performer" for its performance within the local IT industry for 2003.

Other company honours included 'Business Partner of the Year', 'Top Business Partner Award' and 'Sales Excellence Award'. In total e-WIS won seven company awards and nine individual awards by its staff.

The individual awards comprised awards for Management Leadership, Manager's Recognition, Sales Excellence, Professional Services, Rookie Salesperson, and product based Sales Champion awards.

Sanjeewa Wickramanayake, Chairman and CEO, e-WIS said, "As a truly local company we're thrilled that IBM has recognized our performance with these awards. We owe our performance to the loyal customers who have supported us for the last 18 years to establish ourselves as a premier service organization in the country. e-WIS being Sri Lanka's pioneer IBM Business partner has grown to be IBM's largest business partner and one of the leading IT solution providers in Sri Lanka.

They have also been a consistent winner since 1996 at this annual event held to recognize IBM's top performers. The Winners Circle Award now enables the company to pitch itself against other multinational companies in the Asian region.

The company through the years has earned recognition and acceptance in implementing some of the largest IT project in the country. These include many leading organizations in the public sector, leading companies in the private sector and individual customers.
