Sampath Bank beat HNB by 3 wkts by LESLIE FERNANDO Left-hand batsman Tilina Kandambi who is making his first tour abroad with the Sri Lanka team to Zimbabwe, hit an unbeaten half century (75) with 4 fours and 3 sixes and Sri Lanka Test and one-day captain Marvan Atapattu stroked a solid half century (72) with 1 four and 1 six to enable Sampath Bank register a 3-wicket win over Hatton National Bank in the Mercantile Premier League knock-out tournament semi-final played at the NCC grounds yesterday. Hatton National Bank electing to bat first, made 265 for 7 in their allotted 50 overs with Avishka Gunawardena hitting a brisk 87-balls 75 runs with 7 fours and 3 sixes and Russel Arnold made a fine half century (51) with 4 fours. Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath who is also in the tour squad Zimbabwe bowled best for Sampath Bank, capturing 3 for 33. Sampath Bank hit the required runs making 267 for 7 with five balls to spare (49.1 overs). Hatton National Bank 265 for 7 (A. Gunawardena 75, R. Arnold 51, T. M. Dilshan 33, K. Dharmasena 26, C.
