Relinquishes post after 33 years Mr. Soji Robert has relinquished his post as Honorary Director, Sri Lanka Tourist Board after 33 years, Mr. Robert was appointed by the late Mr. Dharmasiri Senanayake with the concurrence of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1971. Mr. Robert who was exclusive representative for PATA Publications in the late 1960's was later active in the tourist industry representing numerous overseas travel and business publications including Time magazine and later was elected Chairman of the Thailand PATA chapter and served for two consecutive years as Thailand's representative on the PATA Allied Associate Council. Mr. Robert served as President Skal Club of Bangkok, for several terms and President of the Skal National Committee and finally was elected a life member of the club in Bangkok. |
