'Time to think about the peace process' by Ananth Palakidnar Senior Vice President of the Tamil National Alliance and Batticaloa district Parliamentarian Joseph Pararajasingham reiterated that the LTTE was committed to peace process and they would not violate the Ceasefire Agreement or engage in any form of violence to disturb the peace process. On his return from Kilinochchi after attending the opening ceremony of the LTTE's first ever Human Rights Secretariat, Pararajasingham told the Sunday Observer that the TNA, which reflect the political aspirations of the LTTE insist that the UPFA government should expedite the resumption of peace talks to strengthen the credibility of the people of this country on the peace process. 'We understand that the UPFA government is planning to resume the peace talks with the LTTE soon after the conclusion of the Provincial Council polls. "So the TNA want to remind the government now its time to think about the peace process and to expedite it to find an early solution to the North-East crisis," Pararajasingham said. |
