Kosgodage heads MFA Stanley Kosgodage of Dimo was re-elected the President of the Mercantile Football Association (MFA) at its annual general meeting held at the Football House recently. The main topic during the meeting was to promote soccer in the mercantile sector. Mercantile football featured prominently in the past and had several players representing then Ceylon. MFA has also lifted several major trophies in tournaments conducted by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka. The MFA discussed several plans to raise the standard of the game amongst the mercantile soccerites. MFA also will conduct their annual league and knockout tournaments in addition to the popular seven-a-side soccer tourney to be staged shortly. The MFA office-bearers for 2004-2005 - Vice Presidents; Milton Fernando, T. F. Cassim, M. F. Hashimdeen, General Secretary - B. M. Godwin, Assistant Secretary N. M.
