Cyberskills offers job oriented training with NIIT & NIS Sparta MMBL Cyberskills (Pvt) Ltd., the exclusive licensee in Sri Lanka for NIIT and NIS Sparta the two IT and soft skills training giants from India, is concentrating on job oriented training to suit the local and global demand for professionals. Their objective is to enable the young professionals to have a better future. Managing Director of Cyberskills, Sunimal Weerasooriya, stated that "the global as well as local job markets are getting complicated day by day due to the high level of competition for better jobs, the demand from the employers for better skill-sets, the demand for multi-disciplinary skills, and the demand for employees with a high level of flexibility and adaptability to the fast changing working environments." He added that this kind of environment requires the job seekers to be more focused on their future careers, to identify their strength and weaknesses, to be aware of the essential technical and soft skills required to be employable and the current and future trends in the job market. Unfortunately he said that most students who are coming out of schools or universities are not aware of this complex nature of the job market and the emphasis laid on career guidance in schools and universities are not at all adequate to groom the job-seekers to be gainfully employed. CyberSkills have very clearly identified the above issues at a very early stage, all the NIIT and NIS Sparta branches in Sri Lanka have been providing the services of trained student counsellors who would advise and guide the student on appropriate education tracks based on the students' aptitude, strength, financial capabilities and future career aspirations. NIIT's certificate and diploma programs in information technology, include modules such as Information Search and Analysis Skills (ISAS) and real life projects to enhance the non-technical skill levels such as, acquiring knowledge on their own, compiling, analyzing and presentation of information, communication skills, team work and exposure to real life work environments. NIIT also offers courses ranging from 8 hrs to 2 - years to cater to the varying needs of students and the job opportunities available locally and globally. This facilitates the student to choose a course that will exactly meet his or her aspirations and financial strengths.
