Malaysian NGOs to conduct medical camp

The Siri Jayanti Association of Malaysia in collaboration with the Siri Jayanti Welfare Association, Maha Karuna Buddhist Society, Sri Sathya Sai Baba Centre of Brickfields from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the Buddhist Cultural Centre and Naga Vihara Buddhist Temple in Sri Lanka is organizing a Medical Camp, donation of educational equipment for 2000 students and a Maha Sanghika Dana at Hanguranketa on December 12.

Siri Jayanti Association is building a free clinic at the town centre in Hanguranketa and is expected to be ready before the opening on December 12. About sixty volunteers and two doctors from Kuala Lumpur will participate in this program who will be assisted by about thirty doctors and numerous nurses and volunteers from Sri Lanka.

All the charity programs are coordinated by the Sri Lanka High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, with the cooperation of Ven. B. Saranankara Thera, chief incumbent of the Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple in Kuala Lumpur.
