Shah Rukh Khan willing to come again by Rashomi Silva in New Delhi Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan last week said he would definitely go to Colombo to perform again, if invited despite the unfortunate incident as he was overwhelmed by the warm welcome he received in Colombo. Arriving at Mumbai Khan told the reporters the opposition by the Buddhist monks had nothing to do with the attack. "This attack is a separate incident and has nothing to do with the peaceful protest of the Buddhist monks. We paid our respects to the seer before the start of the concert last night," media here quoted Khan as saying. "This is an isolated incident and apparently Shah Rukh is a much loved and favored actor in Sri Lanka," they said Indian media speculating on the incident had mentioned four possible groups who would have carried out the attack. Most Indians believe it was carried out by the LTTE to mollify India. But media ruled out that possibility saying that LTTE would go for a 'mega scale' attack rather than hurling a grenade. The second accusing finger was pointed at Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP). Media here claimed the JVP as a Sinhala Buddhist and Marxist-Leninist party with strong anti-Indian sentiments. It was also pointed out the JVP is now looking for Indian support to checkmate the LTTE. Jathika Hela Urumaya, the party of Buddhist monks as it is known here was also among the suspects, but said the party changed its stance on the concert day. Sihala Urumaya was mentioned as another possibility. Khan extended his sympathies to the families of those who were killed and hurt by the incident. |
