SME rehabilitation project by NCCSL The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) commenced distribution of relief material donated by its members, to those affected by the recent national disaster as an immediate step in association with ART TV. NCCSL has established a SME Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Project to assist SMEs in all affected areas, in the reconstruction of their businesses/enterprises. A specially appointed team at the Chamber will be working on this priority project to provide necessary assistance more efficiently and effectively. SME disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction unit The Chamber has set up a SME Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Unit at the Chamber Secretariat, which could be contacted on 5374805, 5374806, 5374807 or 5374801-3. A special e-mail address has been created to provide easy access to the 'SME Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Unit'. A web page has been already created, where all information of the donors and the activities of the project will be accessible on www.nccsl.lk/smerehab NCCSL in coordination with Dialog will provide 'Communication Stations' in the affected areas for the SMEs to reach us easily and without delay. 'Communication Stations' Chamber Secretariat as well as the District Associations of Small and Medium Enterprises (DASMEs) of NCCSL in Matara and Kalutara and Dialog Communication Centers set up in the affected areas. The Chamber has issued a special 'Evaluation Form' for reporting the damages/losses of the affected small and medium businesses. This will be made available via print and electronic media as well as through the 'Communication Stations' in those areas. NCCSL -SME Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstructuion Fund Contributions already made to the 'NCCSL Relief and Rehabilitation Fund',Peoples Bank, Suduwella Branch, A/c no. 1650040446 will now be channelled to the 'SME Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Fund' for the above Project. |
