Ceylinco Sussex in profile

Learning could mean acquiring knowledge to perform new behaviours. Though some identify learning as it commences only in the school, much of it occurs outside the classroom, and people continue to learn throughout their lives.

Teaching could be classified as methodical placing of facts, ideas, skills and techniques before the students to learn but it only developed recently as a profession. Education could be the culmination of teaching and learning taken together.

Today in an era of lawlessness and rejection of human values education should have to play a dominant role, to shape the future citizens with adequate discipline, leadership and drive and to earn their living to be also an economic creature. These are the primary expectations of the parents who spend everything they earn for the children's education.

Thus in today's context the parents' search for better schools for their children who possess best teachers has become one of their major tasks as selection of the wrong school would be the doom of the future of their children.

So, any parent who wishes to give the best for their children would be the winners in choosing Ceylinco Sussex Colleges (CSC) as they provide all the ingredients that a good school should possess, of course with a Sri Lankan flavour.

Ceylinco Sussex College (CSC) concept is unique as, though the entire curriculum is in the English medium yet everything in Sri Lankan. The entire process is geared to ideally suit the type of education that every child of Sri Lanka should receive. CSC would be the total educational solution for every child in this country.

The entire system is designed to suit the Sri Lankans because the main objective is to create a real Sri Lankan atmosphere with English medium Education. K. A. S. Jayatissa, Deputy Chairman, CT & FC Group, a part of Ceylinco Consolidated who is in charge of the entire Ceylinco Sussex Educational Programme said that his main idea is to see that every child who studies in these schools is nurtured to be suitable for the job market and secondly they will be provided ample exposure to international affairs.

Thus Ceylinco Sussex College becomes the true Sri Lankan leaders with a global outlook. Mr. Jayatissa has been a very well experienced teacher and a scholar having the distinction of being a lecturer in technical institutions and the Sri Jayawardenepura University.
