Moratuwa big match drawn

The 55th annual Big Match between Prince of Wales College and St. Sebastian's College ended in a draw at the De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa. This was the 28th consecutive draw in the series. The last result was achieved in 1977 by Cambrians.

Resuming at 4 for 29 yesterday, Cambrians scored 111 runs in reply to Sebs' total of 158 runs. Opener Sanka Peiris top scored with 35 and enabled Cambrians to reach a reasonable total. He was supported by Dinesh Madushanka who contributed 19 runs.

Jehan Fernando and Charith Fernando bagged 4 for 41 and 3 for 44 respectively and eventually, both bowlers passed 50 wickets mark for the season. Sebs declared their second innings at 94 for 7 and Prince of Wales College were 30 for 2 at close.
