"During our three- day visit, the talks we had with the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Human Resources Dr. Fong Chanonn in the Malaysian Government and also the officials of the Employers Federation in Kuala Lampur over the possible job opportunities were very successful," he said. Minister Seneviratna said that a bilateral agreement was also signed with the Malaysian Government, focusing much attention on skilled jobs for Lankan workers in the coming years. "They assured that jobs in large numbers are available in the fields of construction, manufacturing, Information Technology, plantation, tourism and health sectors," he said.
