Dilip Abayasekara of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, has been elected President of Toastmasters International. He is the top officer of the world's leading organisation devoted to teaching skills in public speaking and leadership.

Dr. Abayasekera was elected for a one-year term at the organisation's 74th Annual International Convention, held August 24-27 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

An active Toastmaster for 19 years, Abayasekera is a professional speaker, trainer and speech coach.
