Toppan Forms makes vast strides in printing

Toppan Forms which has revolutionised the printing industry by using state-of-the-art technology for the last 22 years has made great strides in the field of information, said Toppan Forms Managing Director Sanjeewa Wickramanayaka at the 22nd anniversary at the Colombo Hilton.

Wickramanayaka said that Toppan Forms Colombo was the pioneer company in Sri Lanka to undertake total outsourcing of print management activities. It was also the market leader in designing and printing of various business forms,including continuous and cut sheet, MRCI cheques, OMR and OCR Pin mailers.

He said that in the printing process different kinds of human intervention was very rare as the company had acquired very sophisticated machinery.

Wickramanayaka also said that the principal Toppan Forms company in Japan through constant research and development had ensured that customers had been getting quality products manufactured to exact standards. He said that the company was committed to provide market-driven and customer-oriented services by providing tailor-made products, services and solutions.

He said that Sri Lanka Telecom billing forms, cheques for banks, printing and personalisation were being printed by Toppan Forms and added that Toppan Forms was the first outsourcing company in Sri Lanka. Outlining future plans of the company, Wickramanayaka said that the company had an intention of building a new printing plant in Homagama in 2006. In Sri Lanka the customer base was both private and state banks and in terms of technological advancement Toppan Forms was on par with Indian printing standards.

Toppan Forms Chairman Upatissa Jayasinghe said that the company's most valued customers were Dialog Telecom, NDB Bank, Sri Lanka Telecom, Sampath Bank, Hatton National Bank and Commercial Bank.

He also said that as Toppan Forms Colombo dealt with high security information,the company had been conducting strict security procedures within its premises,with all entrances and exits of production and processing facilities carefully supervised and protected.
