Visiting Professor donate books to Kelaniya University

Prof. K. L. D. Gunawardena who was recently on a visit to Sri Lanka as a visiting academic at the University of Kelaniya donated a collection of recently published books, on Statistics and Mathematics to the Department of Statistics and Computer Science, University of Kelaniya. Some of these books were donated by Wiley and Prentice Hall Publishers in the USA.

These recently published textbooks are very useful to both the academic staff and students in Statistics. The value of these books is approximately US $5000.

Prof. Gunawardena was visiting the Department of Statistics and Computer Science, University of Kelaniya under the aegis of the Rotary Foundation in the USA. During his visit Prof. Gunawardene taught a course on Design and Analysis of Experiments to B.Sc (Special) Degree students.

Prof. K. L. D. Gunawardena is an Associate Professor in Statistics at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, USA.
