Sri Lanka Hockey Federation (SLHF) will hold trial matches amongest the 45 stickers' already in the national pool in view of reducing the training pool to 30 in preparation for the 2006 South Asian Games to be held in Colombo.

The trial matches have been arranged from December 6 to 8 in two sessions 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. at the Astro Turf at Reid Avenue.

The 45 players in the Sri Lanka National Hockey Pool are: C. L. Sumanarate, M. Yogeswaran (Kandy HA), M. R. Fernando (Wennappuwa HA), M. I. Riyaz, S. H. Fuard, R. T. Wickremasinghe, M. D. Fernando, Siraj Mohideen, N. A. Hewage, Ruwan Fernando, Thusith Rathnasiri (Matale HA), C. G. Jayaratne, N. N. de Alwis, M. Naushad, B. S. Kumar (State Services HA).
